Let’s celebrate Fleckvieh at its very best!
On 21 and 22 March 2026, the Berglandhalle in Lower Austria will become the stage for the major celebration of Austrian Fleckvieh breeding. Outstanding animals from the Fleckvieh Austria breeding program, representing all breeding regions of Austria, will be presented.
Embedded in an inspiring program featuring cutting-edge progeny groups, a young breeder’s competition, an exciting elite auction and the FleckScore World Cup, visitors can look forward to an event of the highest calibre.
Saturday, 21 March 2026 – Evening Event starting at 7:00 p.m.
The presentation of progeny groups from top current sires by the two Austrian artificial insemination centres will form a true breeding highlight of the evening program. Perfectly timed for prime time, the final of the FleckScore World Cup will also take centre stage. The best junior breeders from all Austrian provinces will compete in an elite contest of animal presentation and type.
The pulse of breeders and prospective buyers will undoubtedly rise during the concluding elite auction. Highly genotyped female and male highlights will be offered, attracting strong international interest and ensuring thrilling bidding competitions.
Sunday, 22 March 2026 – Day Event starting at 9:00 a.m.
Following a ceremonial opening, the arena of the Berglandhalle will on Sunday be dedicated entirely to the best and most impressive Fleckvieh cows from all parts of Austria. The proven concept of spreading the absolute show highlights throughout the day will once again be applied.
Immediately after each class, the National Champion and the National Reserve Champion titles will be awarded. Nikolas Sauter, Fleckvieh breeder from Baden-Württemberg in Germany, will officiate as judge.
The objective of the event is to provide a worthy stage for the achievements of Austria’s breeder families and to make the National Fleckvieh Show an unforgettable experience.
Attractive Supporting Program
In addition to showcasing the most interesting and visually outstanding Fleckvieh cows in Austria, the National Fleckvieh Show 2026 aims to serve as a window of information and exchange for our international partners and customers of Austrian genetics.
On Friday, 20 March 2026, in advance of the show, the General Assembly of the European Fleckvieh Breeders’ Association (EVF) and an International Fleckvieh Forum will take place at Schloss Weinzierl at the Francisco Josephinum in Wieselburg. Current scientific and practice-oriented topics in Fleckvieh breeding will be discussed together with multipliers from around the world. This day of intensive exchange with key representatives of the international Fleckvieh community will also provide a fitting setting for a ceremonial event celebrating “75 Years of Fleckvieh Austria.”
On Saturday, 21 March 2026, the AI Company GENOSTAR invites visitors to a bull presentation at 10:00 a.m. Selected bulls will be introduced, offering insights into current breeding strategies and genetic developments.
